I’ve been making these animations since 1290, way before Flows even existed. I started doing them with the hope that one day I could afford a Noun using $NOUN from the /nouns and /noc rounds — but I kept going even when there were no rewards. Then Flows came along — and sure, some incentives are there, but they’ve never been huge. I’ve stayed because I want to show my work, because I want more people in the community to see it, to use it in their projects… not because @pip eventually posted a prop to retrofund those efforts (which didn’t pass anyway). But I’m still here — doing this for the recognition, for the community to see what I can do, and to understand how I want to be useful and can contribute meaningfully. I believe money will come one way or another. But if wanting to be compensated at some point for your work is seen as having “bad intentions”… then we’ve really missed the point.

Ya once again you’ve been caught in the cross fire between Borg and I. The argument was around “incentives” to post… had nothing to do with noc, or you, but then shifted to that as he told me he provides “no incentive for noc artists”. Obviously if there were more daily noc participants you wouldn’t think I was calling you out, but 🤷♂️ will once again do my best to keep you and noc out of my mouth ✌️sorry if I offended u.

Yeah, I get that part of your persona is being openly critical — especially of anything Pip is involved in. That’s fine, really. But what you said didn’t just challenge him — it came off as if you were assuming the intentions and motivations behind what “the same two dudes” are making. Look, I’ve got nothing against you. Your opinions and callouts matter in a self-regulating space with a treasury. I honestly think you play an important role by raising doubts where others just play nice. I’ve never attacked you, and when there’s been friction or misunderstandings, I’ve always asked that we clear things up directly before anything turns into a rumor. I see you as someone who really cares about the Nouns community — someone who gets excited, gets loud, and pushes back when things don’t sit right. That’s valuable. But sometimes it feels like you’re trying to play a role, more than thinking through the ripple effects of what you say.
