not trying to be disingenuous here, genuinely curious: are you not anon? is the difference just depth of pockets or something else?

i understand the notion that things can feel uncertain when new members enter with large voting power but this is the nature of the experiment -- in theory, you or me or anyone could amass a large number of votes. And if we think/agree that auction price is at all correlated with longterm success of nouns, is not attracting participants like Jane exactly what we want and are all trying to achieve?

curious what the community thinks about this since its a sentiment i see pop up now and then

my off the cuff take is that old/current nouns voters/members generally struggle to see new influential voters enter, its a power shift dynamic that is built into nouns but can feel uncertain and unpredictable*

insofar nouns is a train that is both built and wrecked at the same time (h/t mikegood), the status quo feels 'safe' and 'steady' and in some ways its 'the mess we understand'

i wont pretend im fully immune to the feeling of uncertainty, but i think ive learned to embrace it over the years. and i think you can make a case for this cyclical nature of nouns voters/power blocks being 'a very good thing' since it naturally combats stagnation which is a common poison for any org and, honestly, would probably kill nouns rather quickly were we to shut off auctions or otherwise ossify the voter base

Again... these blocks are unnaturally accumulating tokens. Faster than 1 per day if it is a collaboration between all of these accounts. Sometimes it feels like people aren't actually watching so closely.. 

How do you watch an account like this and think "this is good for the experiment?" 

bot is buying votes and delegating them to 5gram.. They have 95 votes with 24 more sitting in the bot wallet. This has nothing to do with Jane and Dusk's blocks currently as far as I know? But I'm sure im wrong.

The big issue here is the voting history to me. This would be GREAT... if they voted... but accumulating this many votes without showing any sort of signal along the way doesn't feel bad to you at all?

I think mass accumulation without signals on the way up, is a signal of malintent. But I’m learning I’m likely wrong and I respect dusk and Janes comments and conversation. 

I didn’t realize Jane and 5g are the same person or group. Would be good for them to signal why it’s so important to accumulate vs allow new DAO members to join in. It’s stifling growth of the DAO. 

I don’t think I have all the answers or the “right” view/vision for nouns. But I think nouns transcends “money” and is bigger than some auction sales or the treasury and its sustainability.. 

Would love to share more thoughts with you in a more fluid environment, a lot gets lost in translation here… would be cool for you to show up to Lil’s server and chat with us all every once and a while. Could share more with you through vc on my thoughts. I’m sure the crew will back you up and disagree with me over these large blocks also. They seem to think there is no threat to nouns 🤷‍♂️

but they are voting and they are communicating? as far as im concerned 5gram and jane are ~the same person (or close) -- i think it makes sense to assume their intentions overlap greatly.

you seem to have a bias for your view of nouns, which is understandable!, but what makes you feel so strongly that its the right vs wrong approach? again, genuinely curious, its helpful for me to understand this better

Disagree with not showing intentions as just noun 1452 can be sold for 2x right away and has not or breack even movement with vwr left on props also idk unnatural accumulation as we had big accumulation from different actors in the past maybe that can be counted in hand, and also saying one needs to show intention to interact with us feels retrograde and not very keen of innovation as I see nouns even tho also in this case has been. This being said not everything is well implemented my main criticism to 30 day for BEM is needed but this implementation might actually cannibalize between props when having money and not funding the best but the fastest to convince in timing, also bot has frustrated away natural bidders to even try given bot has ton of eth and sweeps in last 10 sec bid until refill is needed and those days are the only lost by bot
