went through the onboarding flow. it finds the wallet I want to import and reaches the success screen with keyboard shortcuts. However, when I click on the extension again, it restarts the onboarding flow as if nothing was ever imported. Happened twice and then I gave up

Is this a complete stand-alone wallet? From a "user feeling safe" angle I always thought the idea of the browser plugin as proxy to the "secure phone" (via WebRTC for example) which then provided the API stubs into the page, but did not do any of the other secret stuff, was a beautiful way to present "secure" feels.
