1) Real geopolitical tension among superpowers for the first time since '90. Yes we had GWOT but that is different than a genuine, credible challenge to the US global order 2) Software ate the world. The low hanging fruit is gone and hyper verticalized plays aren't that appealing 3) Seeing genuine evil in the world

4) Palantir and Anduril proved that playbook (selling to the DoD and public sector) can be very profitable and you can build a unicorn / decacorn using it 5) Difficult to not give credit to a16z and the incredible vision they've led with in terms of the American Dynamism fund and the messaging & campaign around it
