The first half of my paternity leave was marked by a lot of middle of the night wakings and feedings. It meant I was on here a lot. The second half of my paternity leave (spaced 4 months apart), was decidedly not that. I slept well and was not on any social media at all. It was quite nice.

Impressed that you are sleeping well with a young one, did you sleep train?

He was a pretty good overnight sleeper from the beginning. About 2 weeks after birth, he would sleep 4 to 6 hours straight, and just wake up for a bottle. And now that he’s older, he doesn’t need an overnight bottle. The main challenge we’re working through is when he wakes up. Sometimes it’s 5:30am. Sometimes it’s 7am. I wake up at 5am either way, so my sleep isn’t interrupted, but getting some consistency there would be good, but we’re not sure what’s the best way to do that.

Sounds like a dream, my 18 month old still wakes a few times each night and sometimes needs help going back to sleep
