The first half of my paternity leave was marked by a lot of middle of the night wakings and feedings. It meant I was on here a lot.

The second half of my paternity leave (spaced 4 months apart), was decidedly not that. I slept well and was not on any social media at all. It was quite nice.

He was a pretty good overnight sleeper from the beginning. About 2 weeks after birth, he would sleep 4 to 6 hours straight, and just wake up for a bottle. And now that he’s older, he doesn’t need an overnight bottle. 

The main challenge we’re working through is when he wakes up. Sometimes it’s 5:30am. Sometimes it’s 7am. I wake up at 5am either way, so my sleep isn’t interrupted, but getting some consistency there would be good, but we’re not sure what’s the best way to do that.
