You can grok it “- In August 2022, Gabagool.eth, a team member of Velodrome Finance (a decentralized trading and liquidity platform), admitted to withdrawing $350,000 from a team wallet without authorization. This followed a reported “hack” of a Velodrome wallet on August 4, 2022, which initially claimed a $350,000 loss. Gabagool.eth confessed to taking the funds to make trades to recover personal losses from the 2022 crypto market crash, intending to return the money discreetly. They converted the funds to ETH and sent them to Tornado Cash, a crypto mixer, but returned the funds after Velodrome’s investigation identified their involvement. - Gabagool.eth expressed regret, stating, “I’m extremely stupid, incredibly disappointed in myself and (frankly) unsure about what next, legally speaking.” Velodrome recovered the funds, revoked team members’ private key access, and began working with legal counsel to determine next steps.”
