Having a proper office is clearly underrated.

We've just moved to an office where any team member can sit anywhere, and it feels so great.

Being remote-friendly is awesome for attracting worldwide talent and maximizing talent density, but having a proper office and people working together allows to:
→ Create a fantastic culture  
→ Reduce team member churn  
→ Boost ideation and brainstorming sessions (the protocol team loves whiteboards)  
→ Cut inefficiencies (e.g., debugging code or explaining concepts is way faster)  
→ Detect human-related issues

The cool thing is that we have both.

A few team members from abroad spend the whole week in the office.

I still think that having a proper office is underrated. The energy is so high rn.

Joining Morpho Labs

As some of you may have guessed from my new profile picture, I've recently joined Morpho Labs as a Protocol Specialist.

I've known @paulframbot, @mgd, and @merlinegalite for over two years now, and have a deep respect for the team's strong security commitment and first principles approach.

While the Credit Guild shutdown was not the outcome we hoped for, I'm delighted to be able to continue contributing at the cutting edge of DeFi lending. To start, I will lead the design and implementation of decentralized governance for the Morpho DAO, a timely issue now that token transferability is under public discussion.

Where possible I will continue my tradition of building in public, and will be sharing background research on governance models and preliminary thoughts on the right solution for @morpho in a series of blog posts.

I'm super excited about Kirk joining us to help make finance a public good.

Kirk is definitely one of the smartest and kindest people I've met in the space.

He's very knowledgeable about protocol mechanisms, governance frameworks, etc, and has significantly contributed to the space either through CreditGuild or his personal blog (I recommend giving it a try).

We've already started researching gov, DAO & other related topics. Kirk will share about this soon.

Update on rewards as we're receiving many questions on that topic:

→ We're actively working on the rewards system. It took us more time than expected (not trivial) + we needed to make it scalable on the 
@basenetwork + we had the @safe campaign. We're sorry about the delay. Expect rewards to be displayed EOW and claimable in the next 2/3 weeks.
→ We've just started working on a new interface to display all past, current, and future programs and other useful data for users. A first simple version could be available quite rapidly.
→ Next, we'll work on rewards forwarding directly to integrators' users to avoid operational costs for them.
→ In parallel, we'll need to scale the rewards computation system even more to handle the thousands of users and hundreds of markets.

TLDR: there is much work to be done on the rewards side, and I apologise for the delays. We'll try to ship ASAP while ensuring everything is tested e2e and distributions are correct. Do not hesitate to ask questions on our Discord.

New update on MORPHO rewards: you can now see your accrued MORPHO in the Interface!

Users will be able to claim current epoch rewards in ~2 weeks, after which claiming will return to a monthly epoch. We'll provide another update when rewards are claimable.

NB: MORPHO rewards are calculated daily at 00:00:00 GMT, hence users won’t see increases during the day.
