I grew up in Northern Ohio in the 90s.

Moved to Florida in 2000. When I got here, everything was called coke.

Want a Pepsi? That’s a Coke! Want a Mountain Dew? also a Coke.

When I said “I want a pop” everyone looked at me like a psycho.

Now, today; still living in Florida, everything is a coke for me too. And don’t let me hear you say you want a fucking “pop”. 😂

In Germany we call Coca Cola - Cola and every other soft drink limo/limonade.

Wait... isn't coke always Coca Cola equivalent? And soda a general term for soft drink?
