The use case is clearer to me in a community-first space, like reddit, versus where FC is at right now. Though times are a-changin' Lots of casts can be relevant and helpful in differing channels, so it can help to reach the right audience with the added context of where the OP came from. Helps with growth and discovery of casters and channels and can be a bridge between channels. The word "crosspost" as an action makes me (as a user) feel less spammy/annoying and more confident in the actions I take on the platform, versus a simple "recast" which lacks meaning.
