This is an excellent summation of this situation, the one thing it leaves out is that this is how it has always gone. Had such a profound moment of clarity scrolling all my old bookmarks on tiktok and seeing how many now have millions of plays and likes

A bookmark is a buy.

Assuming all those posts were onchain my tiktok wallet would be absolutely popping.

Never had more confidence all content will be tokenized and those who are early will reap the benefits

I suspect there's an iteration of the model similar to how pump was successful with their bonding curve to graduation.

My hunch is the right model is:

1. Initially it's collecting
2. If you collect enough, you graduate to a coin (reflecting the attention garnered)
3. And most importantly, people know the rules of the game
4. Ultimately, most attention markets are very short-lived; durable ones are rare.

Content coins will work if you get people to post them with sufficient quantity and frequency.

Until then, there will be a lot of push back. But the only way through is posting more.

Swap "being cool" with "established coin norms" and "being cringe" with "creating more coins".
