This is pretty unfair. Spam is STILL a massive issue on email and one that's only really been solved by massively centralizing the spam filters and making them proprietary

Where Wallet messaging protocols (Like XMTP) are better is really on the fact that it's tied to a key pair making encryption OOTB possible

So many angles to think about but I think the real answer is it’s never solved

Current messaging protocols are now just catching up to the current state of the battle, then we’ll see if it’s any better

I think it's fair. I open Gmail, no spam. I open Coinbase Wallet, lots of spam.

E2E encryption is important and good but also makes spam filtering harder, since the server can't read the messages!

Curious how Signal solved it.
