I really want to build something of my own but struggle settling on an idea or finding one I truly resonate with (that someone else hasn’t already made a ton of headway on). Unsure if it’s a leap of faith issue, or too big expectations for the first thing I build 🤔

1. Build something with software? A different type of business (or project)? 2. Do you have any people in your network you'd be excited about working with? 3. Is there a version where you moonlight on the idea for a bit to get to ~10 people using it?

1. Yes, software! I’m a product designer with fe dev experience 2. Yep but they’re already my clients, so I’m working with them but on their own projects 😅 3. Can for sure boil down most ideas to an mvp, just gotta get over the perfectionism

For 3, this story has helped with perfectionism Remember this painting that was "ruined" by an amateur restoration artist? Turns out, the painting has now revived the local tourism industry and the artist makes 49% of tourism $ We are in a world where failing SPECTACULARLY has the same pay off as success 😅
