Should parents get one extra vote per child? Just because the kids arenβt old enough to vote, their interests should still be accounted for right?

I don't want the Duggars to have 19x voting power. Questions re: adoption, blended families, divorce, etc Not an aligned incentive for society. In a way an extension of helicopter parenting. Troublesome especially for the child who grows into a teen with disagreements over the voting perspective of the parents.

I assumed it would be majority custody = vote The helicopter parenting is an interesting take My reason for posting was curiosity about who has a stake but not a say in society So less about the adults

I can dig that - and it's a good intention and discussion for sure. A pro could be that if parents did have an extra vote per child, each family could decide when the kid gets "voting" rights i.e. they're making the decisions for the votes the parents cast Interesting idea to ponder, thanks for opening it up
