I don't know. I don't have a clear view.

"Single-tribe" feels too dangerously close to "echo chamber" but it's focused on knowledge sharing.

"Social network" assimilates to "waste of time" but allows for cross-pollination.

I don't know, perhaps the key is in the design of either solutions.

i think its clearly single tribe.

Single tribe is more valuable. 

Some single tribes are more valuable than others, entirely based on intentional composition and facilitation.

Echo chamber is a risk and it's incumbent upon the leaders to set the tone and cultivate the desired culture.
