Whenever I’m in Europe I feel sort of culture shocked how superior everything is. I even feel this in England which is allegedly not part of Europe anymore. No insane people on the subway how do they even operate?

I'd like to experience this before EOY, but from what I've heard from frens, I think you're not far off from what many experience. So perhaps it's a common thing

i dont get why nyc tolerates crazy people on trains, i live in tokyo and visited nyc last week and got threatened on the C. It was a fullish train and a scrappy tall black dude in red sweats starts pacing the car and rambling about bills he’s gotta pay and money he needs. A minute in he’s starting to get aggressive, “…the FUCK I’m gonna do, you MOTHERF*CKERS!! yall won’t give SHIT!!”, pacing across the car staring people down. The car goes silent, people turn down their eyes, headphones in, pretending to ignore, the girl to my left turns her head into her boyfriend's shoulder scared. People were afraid to move, afraid to look and afraid to talk as he was towering over everyone shouting. I’m not just hoping he leaves me alone but also that he doesn’t mess with anyone else where I have to get involved. After a couple minutes he went to the next car over.
