Anti-alcoholism poster from the Soviet Union. Ironically in contrast to contemporary leftism the USSR was clearly oriented towards promoting physical virility and strength in its cultural propaganda. And at least in theory they did not have a laissez-faire attitude towards consumption of drugs and alcohol.

Yes well Lenin famously criticized "Left-wing communism" (or just "Leftism") saying that the point is to advance the revolution and not just stake the most extreme left-wing positions, so not too surprising
