In recent years Russia has expanded its military footprint across Africa with its state-led Wagner mercenary group. The group runs an “Africa Corps” contracted out to various governments. Wagner troops have been accused of significant human rights abuses in Congo and Mali. Recently, a Tuareg rebel group fighting Wagner in Mali released video showing dozens of burnt out vehicles and corpses of Wagner fighters. The rebels also appeared to take several prisoners, showing Wagner men in their custody wearing Tuareg dress. Among the dozens dead in this attack is reportedly the admin of Wagner’s “Grey Zone” Telegram channel, Nikita Fedyanin. Fedyanin, or “White,” will be familiar to anyone who has followed Wagner’s online activities since the start of the Ukraine war. www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/mal...

I think Wagner was weakened after the death of Prigozhin, and now we are seeing the almost complete eradication of this horrific group
