When I was a kid I lived and went to school around a lot of people from the Caribbean and especially Jamaica. As a result this kind of had an influence on me and my family. My father after awhile actually started making Jamaican variations of the Pakistani food including jerk biryani and tandoori oxtail both of which were delicious and I think could probably have been patented at some trendy fusion restaurant today.

Cross-culturization is beautiful, especially when the positive parts of a culture are adapted. Tandoori oxtail sounds delicious š

For some reason when original foods/dishes are reconstructed in another fashion/style, adding little changes and infusing other ingredients and techniques from other parts of the world it always hits hard. And good to the taste buds too
