* Java and Kotlin are quick! Possible explanation: Google is heavily invested in performance here.
* Js is really fast as far as interpreted / jit languages go.

agree, rust or zig seem like the move if you need low level nowadays

there's only two modes: 

ts/js or rust/c++

python, swift et al are mostly cope

This looks promising.
I'd like to see more benchmarks. Also see how multi threading works since being single threaded with some patchy ways to do parallelism is the worst part of JS/TS runtimes.

Rustaceas are a force to be reckoned with.
