Learned this week that there is a subculture of Farcaster that's devolved into monkeys slinging digital shit at each other

On one hand, I am deeply grateful that I am not exposed to these elements (thank you mr. algo 👐)

OTOH, I think it's very bullish for the network

there was once a mid-og narrative that if we can just establish a positive enough vibe, it'll persists as we grow to twitter scale.

I have wanted it to survive but I'm not /naive enough to believe it will. I'm honestly doubtful that we can converge on anything significantly different from pre-Elon Twitter.

I think think that different and better is possible here, especially given the more flexible and open model for developing interfaces. 

But you’ll always get conflict when you put a few hundred million people in the same room.
