I’m not a fan of unlikable characters and there is nothing to like about the protagonist in that book. She’s insufferable and it was a chore for me to have to slog through her stupid drugged out inaction 😂

Emma Cline’s “The Guest” is another book I hated for this reason if uh, that helps? 😂

OK, but on the other hand you have characters like these. Only Margie the cop is likeable, but I’m certainly “a fan” of them all as characters. Sounds like the characters you’re describing are also annoying/unappealing though.
