Are audit contests still as effective/attracting talent as they were a year ago? Rumour is that the top talent all started taking a salary.

A lot of the best are taking private bookings. That said, based on what I'm hearing from project teams, the results seem to be getting more effective, not less.

Actually some old talent came back and started to do competitions again. Sure some famous security researchers try to scale their business by creating organisations but new talent was always replacing old talent when it came to auditing. TLDR the competition is still the best to attract smart and hungry people.

I believe it’s getting better / more efficient, evident through meaningful bugs disclosed after major audit firms. Also imo it’s the only way for a scalable auditing mechanism, which will be relevant soon in the bull market as auditing firms get fully booked. IMO permissionless and onchain is the Wei @angler

It would also be interesting to hear what the public opinions are of each of the different platforms.
