Yeah, I totally agree. I felt this as an emotional reaction while reading the post.

There’s a limit here though at which point simply being able to “override” a personality does not mean the personality does not exist.

What if “Bob who works in robotics” created a robot that appeared to be human and held Nova’s persona? You can now meet Nova in person, meeting the set condition. 

What if biotechnology soon becomes good enough that human personas can easily be overridden? What is the distinction then?
