What’s interesting to me about Partiful is not the Palantir past of the founders but their public insistence that they don’t have fiduciary duties They do! I don’t care what they say, they do! They do in fact have a responsibility to recoup capital. They aren’t a charity. I dislike this so much although I have benefited from it. Over time I think this type of posture makes for irresponsible founders and consumers inured to the idea that they “deserve” free lunches

Probably, but it puts the eventual buyer in a bad spot imo — the founders have set the expectation that this service will run at a loss in perpetuity
