does anyone actually eat candy these days? feels very taboo

figuring out my next thing | marketing, content, growth | prev. Juicebox, Nouns, RAW DAO | casting about coffee, hi-fi, and other rabbit holes

grew up on candy and quit for a lengthy, LENGTHY stretch

grabbed one of them starburst mini flavorred bags at a gas station about a year and a half ago and have spiraled hard ever since

5lb bag of haribo gummy bears? sure. great for a little treat. and cost effective! (until i inhale it in its entirety within days)

I had no idea this was still a thing, feels like smoking became forbidden real quick in tech circles and junk food  followed similarly

but maybe I’m also speaking from my own internal biases because we pay 40-50% tax in canada yet pay out-of-pocket for overpriced dental 😂

I'm in Canada right now and I will say, it makes America feel so ghetto. I'm not saying either country is perfect, but I am consistently struck how nice all of the public stuff is. I saw this tweet I deeply agree with — paraphrasing but it said America is a rich third world country. None of the wealth is visible in the polis.
