LOL, DWR said that Bluesky is far more centralized than Warpcast/Farcaster. Maybe it is because nobody puts in the resources to run other networks, but everything about how BlueSky works is open. Everything is open source, feeds can be created by anybody, and GitHub and Discord communities are far more vibrant and open. It is absolutely a joke to state that Farcaster/Warpcast is more transparent, Warpcast is the definition of opaque, everything that is now open was spooned open bit by bit, and Bluesky had everything open from the get-go.

That's bate and not technical. BTW I am pretty used to much worse gag rules than what Bluesky might have, I live in a country where is illegal to voice support or critique any politician in an election campaign if you're not part of an official campaign. So in those terms of censorship what Bluesky provides can be considered "absolute speech".

nobody is using bluesky because the client is open source or it’s built on a more open architecture than twitter they see it as an anti-elon/anti-zuck move and a way to avoid right-wing opinions that they now associate with twitter. it has the furthest left/right skew of basically any major social app, estimated 65/35-70/30. though IG is not far behind.

I am not contesting that. But I talk about dev attention, look Bsky client repo has over ~3k issues, ~5k PRs, and 15k stars. I haven't found yet a dev that told me seriously that what Bluesky produces is not contributing to FOSS.
