Apple Vision Pro

did the cringe thing and wore the Vision Pro in public today around Venice and then did side-by-side review with the Meta Quest. observations:

1. ppl didn’t gawk as much as i expected, those who did were SO stoked

2. unreal to share a realtime surf report w/ friends

3. it isn’t even a competition b/w VP and MQ

in your opinion, is the Vision Pro overhyped (“gonna change the world” etc.) or is the hype justified?

I was one of the first to get an iPhone and friends said aren’t you worried you’ll be checking your email all the time? But they were eager to hold it 🤳and then they said duh this is not for me 🙃
