is sxsw normies or a specific crowd? huge difference trump is representing normie crypto now. xrp sol ada that's normie, easy to understand fwiw have heard molly is actually a vibe irl. it's all posturing online gotta remember even critics like ZachXBT that everyone dotes after gets paid by the industry, but doesn't *actually* do anything that no one else could do (check the chain) takes a lot to stand against crypto

probably a mix of normies and music/film industry folks, is my guess say more about “all posturing online”? personally don’t see zach as a critic like molly because pretty much everything he posts is based on onchain data. can’t really lie, just facts.

doesn't molly highlight scams? crypto/web3 100% deserves harsh criticism. it wouldn't have ever gotten anywhere without it, now it's all fake glitz n glam. the only way to cut through that noise is posturing as someone that sees it all as a scam zach shows tracking for onchain data and reports for freezing, doesn't actually help prevent by ya know speaking publicly about it.. also has been paid by some of the sussest dudes + ignores many things. scammers change pattern, the biggest keep moving unspoken about just pointing out the hypocrisy 🫡

of course, much of the criticism is deserved. I think there is a difference between the two though. molly isn’t usually reporting onchain data but rather interpreting news events etc. to paint a narrative that the industry is a scam. that’s much more interpretive than what zach does. zach publishes every report publicly, he’s just not as good at comms/PR as molly who is essentially a journalist.

idk neither are my cup of tea really probably better to try and win her over if that makes sense vs. giving money to "the on chain detective" there's a lot of beautiful and cool things about crypto although it's almost completely drowned out by greed what I'm getting at is if she reported just some of the good, sure it would make us happy but she would lose a potentially bigger audience
