I have a bit of a different view: There is exactly the right amount of time. Having more interests than you have time for doesn't necessarily mean you should do or fill each cup of desire. That's gluttony. Nor does it mean you "need to limit your desire or want for something" rather that "you have been given this plank of life, and you are here as its tendril of its vessel in a vaster web of biological". As July expresses, taking out the inherit limit of human existence takes out many other underlying ethical and moral systems that have grown in their parallel and that we all cherish. Capitalism has tried so hard to commodify culture and its caused very late stage human development issues in culture and local community building.
