there is a certain age where seniors become, for lack of a better word, difficult. overly picky, inflexible, dogmatic, even bossy. they’ve certainly earned it but still, difficult to deal with.

One way I look at it is that they’re victims of their eras

 they’ve been taught and groomed to do things a certain way(which usually worked) and never thought to try or explore new ways 

They’re also the very literal definition of creatures of habit, very hard nut to crack
