trying a screenshot framework! how I'd (generously) define the two sides of the idealogical split I see playing out today in America. What do you think? What did I miss / what would you change?

Interesting comparison. Although I don’t really like the American tendency to split everything into two groups. Even based on your comparison, these groups have a lot in common. Both are challenging the current zeitgeist, for instance instance.

I would say being based doesn’t automatically mean you respect history and cultural norms as anchors—if the history and norms are whack, a based person says “fuck off.” to the whack.

Church of based : 1 & 4 are a bit contradictory no? Where do they get their ‘tangible facts’ from if not institutions or experts who are authority’s in their topic? Could these two lists be not so much left / right but just two out of many ideologies currently existing?

If church of based is the right, I don’t see it playing out like that at all. Grounded in reality? Lol that’s definitely not the case. It seems like this split is more like center left & center right. Or Libertarian left & right. But the far right & left are much more extreme.
