speaking anecdotally, I invite fewer of my friends to FC now than I did a year or two ago. Still unpacking the reasons / thoughts behind that but curious if others feel the same.

me too. i was really enthusiastic about inviting my friends 2 years ago, but most of them have churned
they found it hard to find content they cared about (i don't think this has become easier despite channels because most content sucks)
and they found it impossible to get engagement; having started a 2nd account on FID 400k+, it is virtually impossible unless you commit hours a day to it

re your last point, I think some amount of commitment being required is normal for growing a new account. that said, one way fb solved growth is by minimizing the time to getting 10 friends
