I agree this is a real problem, but flip-flopping from Farcaster to Warpcast back to Farcaster is a tough look. Just spitballing, but maybe just have multiple apps? Launch an 2nd app called Farcaster that is initially just a clone of the Warpcast app that is open-sourced without some proprietary features like the ability to buy Warps. Think of it like Chrome & Chromium. This would also allow Warpcast to evolve into a more professional/paid version like TweetDeck with stuff for pro-users with cast-scheduling, helpdesk/brand management, auto attendant for DMs, keyword search term monitoring, AI copilots etc.

This feels more complicated than just reverting the name TBH.

My argument is basically: Reverting is also complicated for worse reasons. Separating Warpcast from Farcaster was done out of a strong cypherpunk principle: neutrality. Now we're reneging on principles for basically SEO reasons. There are so many things we're trusting Merkle to decentralize: DMs, Channels, the signup fee treasury, etc. It's not the end of the world but it's a butter knife on one's confidence.
