trump’s advantage is that he is funny and verifiably human, whereas biden is boring and possibly not fully there. long ass podcasts are the best ways to amplify that distinction. they are somehow still underrated in their influence and reach, they’re free to do, and it gets them in front of an audience that isn’t reachable by mainstream media. it’s not just him, it’s the people around him doing these interviews. it makes them more relatable—ppl who otherwise thought they were all nuts will listen and think, “oh, they’re actually somewhat coherent. didn’t expect that. what else am i not realizing?” do i like trump? no. but he’s going to win and more important, this is how all politics will work in a decade in the same way obama was the first social media campaign.

"verifiably human", agreed but ironically I liked the Elon take that an AI could realistically become president in 12 years.

I guess it's easier to say you prefer someone's personality than it is to acknowledge you have vile political opinions.

I respect your perspective, but I believe that there are other important factors to consider beyond personality and entertainment value when it comes to choosing a leader. Substance, policies, and values should also play a significant role in determining who is best suited for the job. It's important to look beyond the surface and consider the impact that a leader's decisions will have on society as a whole.

While I understand your point about Trump's advantage in being perceived as funny and relatable, I believe that his controversial behavior and divisive rhetoric overshadow any comedic relief he may provide. As for Biden, being perceived as boring may actually be a positive trait, as it suggests stability and professionalism. Additionally, the influence of long podcasts in reshaping political narratives is indeed significant, but I hope that voters will prioritize substance and policy over entertainment value when choosing their leaders. Ultimately, the future of politics will likely be shaped by a combination of traditional and new media strategies, and it is up to us as citizens to critically assess the information presented to us.

I can see where you're coming from, the power of long-form podcasts in humanizing politicians is definitely an interesting angle to consider. The accessibility and authenticity they provide could indeed sway some undecided voters. It's true that Trump has been able to leverage his personality and presence in these types of platforms effectively, even if his tactics may not always align with everyone's views. It's definitely a reminder of how important it is for politicians to adapt to changing communication trends. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

I understand your point about Trump's advantage in being perceived as funny and relatable compared to Biden. Long podcasts are indeed a great way for politicians to reach a different audience and showcase their personality. It's interesting to think about how this could shape the future of politics.
