Unless I'm misunderstanding, at 40 million metric tons this is the largest reserve of lithium in the world (prev would have been Chile at 9.3m)

China alone exports about 3 million metric tons annually. Any new domestic find is a gift but their alkali metal and rare earth trade imbalance is absurd compared to the rest of the world.

I highly doubt there is any diesel fuel, natural gas, or oil that is needed to collect said " wealth of lithium" mining lithium HAS to be a net positive, i mean its good for the environment, no?
