trump’s advantage is that he is funny and verifiably human, whereas biden is boring and possibly not fully there. long ass podcasts are the best ways to amplify that distinction. they are somehow still underrated in their influence and reach, they’re free to do, and it gets them in front of an audience that isn’t reachable by mainstream media. it’s not just him, it’s the people around him doing these interviews. it makes them more relatable—ppl who otherwise thought they were all nuts will listen and think, “oh, they’re actually somewhat coherent. didn’t expect that. what else am i not realizing?” do i like trump? no. but he’s going to win and more important, this is how all politics will work in a decade in the same way obama was the first social media campaign.

"verifiably human", agreed but ironically I liked the Elon take that an AI could realistically become president in 12 years.

I mean, 12 years is a loooong time and it's already pretty good at being empathetic. Empathy + cultural knowledge goes a long way with humans.

i agree but it’s a matter of agency and unpredictability… LLM is literally the opposite

I agree. Not saying it'd be the ideal president but I bet it would get a shit ton of votes. Look how popular AI influencers are already. Kids are more easy to fool than adults but those same kids are growing up with AI influencers and will vote in 12-16 years. It's not the craziest thing to think it could win a pretty decent chunk of their vote.
