The amount of FC related groups popping up on telegram is wild. Honestly kind of funny that it's taken so long. TG hasn't changed in ways relevant to these groups. WC has changed/improved a lot. The home feed focused experience is unsatisfactory. It's noisy, nudges disingenuous activity, and totally ignores community. Channels actually could compete with telegram, particularly for large communities. The problem is channel UX and notifications. TG is high signal and I can tinker notis where necessary. Everything in there is still of value. As it stands, no shot I'm turning on WC's notis. That would be a lot of effort, and as @zinger noted yesterday, the noti format is yikes. Make channels mini-apps for communities -prioritize channel UX/UI -subchannels/linked channels -first party mod -lots of other things Nft gated GC's are not going to compete with tg lol

It's kind of funny, re your high signal point I feel exactly the opposite. Telegram is low signal for me, most stuff there is spam or large group chats that I mute and don't check. I also mute gc's on warpcast, but if I get a noti here I know it's important. That said I completely agree re channel experience being subpar. Can't remember if it was @zinger or @kia.eth that said they're warpcast "hashtags you pay $25 for". even if I wanted to create channels around events for example, I couldn't, and there would be no reason to.

I have the same experience with Telegram. Any attempt at joining a community there gets run over with off topic spammy stuff. Its just a function of large group chats. Discord was no different (pre forums etc). Of course, my group chat with a couple friends is high signal. It is on any platform and I have lots: messenger, insta, whatsapp, line, telegram, warpcast, and imessage.

interesting interesting. here's what my TG looks like: -my normie best friend (how he got there is funny) -work, has it's own folder with like 12 things. it's messy -a couple smaller groups -a couple read only groups So aside from my buddy, my reaction to a TG noti is: -web3 -either urgent or something i've opted into and want to catch later My WC experience is much, much broader, and while a lot of it is important, it's wrapped in way more noise. Having some things with subchannels is really helpful, and noti settings feel more precise. I follow wayyyyy too many channels on WC, my inbox is clogged with gcs i prob shouldn't be in, and the noti format that hashtag line is so good rip. channels are far from what i'd imagined and hoped many months ago

I feel like I’ve gotten lucky in the I’ve joined the right telegrams chat for good convos. I don’t have the issues of noisy chats bc I can just unsubscribe/leave. I’ve been messing around with it more and really enjoy it’s super quick to spin up a bot to do something for me in a TG chat. Monitoring, sales etc. I see a world where both can live side by side well
