bought a tv yesterday, hadn't owned one since 2007

i've got mixed feelings, but the wife thought it's better for the kids who'd been watching stuff on an ipad when we let them

admittedly the kids were super excited, which reminded me how fun tv can be for kids

what do you think, /parenting? good to have? a mistake?

I think screens are good

Biggest challenge with TV is putting it somewhere so that your room doesn’t organize entirely around it like it’s a shrine (unless it’s a dedicated media room)
