I found a local guy that makes durable boards for cheap - probably not the best, but I absolutely adore them. Ended up making his website on Squarespace in exchange for a board lol That's the route I'd go if you can find someone. I'd imagine you could find a local meet-up in Cali with some of these types of shapers.

Local shaper for winter, have that part of my quiver pretty dialed now. Craigslist and FB marketplace for summer, I’m all over the place on this stuff except at least one HS Hypto which is a constant
