It also feels really weird to be so present on a network going through such an eb and flow of finding its first cohort of 1M sticky users. There was never a period of time when I first started using social media apps (FB, Twitter, IG) where there wasn't an endless sea of people to tap in with. FC is in this weird place where a lot of people came, tried it a few times, and then left. Usage feels extremely correlated to the price of the biggest tokens that stemmed out of the network and it creates this weird feeling like it's empty when in reality its not. Hard to describe in words but there's a psychological impact on engagement rn that feels tough to break out of.

How much marketing did those apps do early on? (I know that’s been a hot topic lately) I was an early adopter of “The Facebook”, as my college was one of the first to have access on the west coast. I don’t recall any marketing though; it was all word of mouth. At the time though, the only other platform was MySpace. Twitter and IG brought something new/unique to the table. To the normal everyday, non-crypto user, FC brings what exactly? That’s what the team needs to focus on…

I was on early Twitter. It was almost all word-of-mouth at first. Early adopters getting hyped and the buzz spreading from there.
