I had this role at Cabin for ~7months & quit when Cabin decided to walk away from its existing community that it built over 3 years to pivot towards a new focus.

The job description says “autonomous”, but it was very much @hillis’ way or the highway 🪬

Anyone else gona miss these things?

To clarify… its @hillis’s way or the highway within Cabin Labs, there is always the avenue of new DAO proposals… but its a daunting thing to put up proposals that directly conflict with the founder’s decision to pivot all other active contributors focus

Cabin Labs wants to spend >$100K to market a 10-week accelerator they currently charge $400 per person for, with ambiguous business growth goals beyond that…

As a Cabin DAO member & fan, I would much rather see these funds allocated to grants that benefit people building community within the network.

Thoughts?
