community-as-a-differentiator corners every other behavior that people try to replicate here on farcaster that is also the reason why trust for base is multiplying at speed that casual opportunists would try to exploit but they won't last

Maybe, but manias subside. Just ebb and flow of crypto world, I don't think there is any corner of web 3 that is not dealing with a touch of it.

do you think it loses it though? i would imagine at the moment it feels especially so with Clanker Mania and the bull run across crypto. yet still feels vastly different, yet maybe that is more an outcome of the circles formed thus far

I wonder if it decreases for newcomers and current outsiders, but hardly decreases for OGs and people who are here now for community. Any of those may add some memecoin/CT behavior but they won't lose the community aspect of what they are doing. And a good number here probably won't adopt much CT behavior. But newcomers experience could look very different than what current FCers experience looks like. 🤷♂️
