man this guy sharing his trading journey on twitter is the most depressed-smart trader i've seen i think there is a tragic pain to missing out on potential gains that you're never prepared bc it doesn't show up in any other part of life he's going to be okay financially, i hope he can be happy too

I watched a video the other day that showed the impact of missing the best 10 days in the S&P 500, and you take like a 30% haircut. Missing best 30 days has you missing 50% of gains. For this reason I never completely exit my positions. I leave a little in just to ensure I have some exposure to potential upswings. They will never end up being life-changing, but they do help keep my spirits up.
