what do you do when you're in a bad mood?

i have a thread with chatgpt where it’s instructed to play the role of an ifs therapist. i just say i’m in a bad mood and it asks about it and often finds a cause and solution. if that doesn’t work, self-directed emdr! maybe an extreme answer but i’ve found that being annoyed or grumpy usually has some basis in childhood trauma or something else i need to resolve anyway. i’d rather take a scalpel to the root cause and kill it for good then just cheer myself up and have to repeat the process again and again forever

this is good advice! honestly, for me a lot of it comes down to struggling with chronic health conditions. it's the absolute worst sometimes, and i'm still working on coping well

ugh, so sorry you’re dealing with that. i can relate, unfortunately. people don’t understand how tough it is on so many levels, and how hard they can be to manage and treat. i will say that emdr has been shown to help a lot with certain chronic conditions, and i’ve felt massively better physically since starting. depends what you’re dealing with, but might be worth looking into at least to help cope. i hope you find some relief soon either way 💛

@downshift.eth in case you want to read more about what has helped me this is my routine: https://warpcast.com/marlo/0xa14dc65b the emdr has helped massively with all issues related to my nervous system, chronic pain, and circulation, and has increased my energy levels dramatically, which has helped me take way better care of myself, which helps everything. plus being way more happy is nice! best of luck on your path! 🙏🏻
