i have a thread with chatgpt where itโ€™s instructed to play the role of an ifs therapist. i just say iโ€™m in a bad mood and it asks about it and often finds a cause and solution. if that doesnโ€™t work, self-directed emdr! maybe an extreme answer but iโ€™ve found that being annoyed or grumpy usually has some basis in childhood trauma or something else i need to resolve anyway. iโ€™d rather take a scalpel to the root cause and kill it for good then just cheer myself up and have to repeat the process again and again forever
