the better i feel now (mostly thanks to emdr), the more i realize how bad i felt before. i tried to be happy, but most of the time it was easiest to settle for contentment do you think you could be a mainly joyful person if you tried? if yes, how do you maintain your joy? if no, what keeps you from finding joy? https://frame.weponder.io/api/polls/10145

my baseline as long as i can remember has essentially been functional freeze and depression with some cptsd to spice things up. i have used a lot of tools to deal with everything but it’s a ton of work. emdr seems to mostly-alleviate everything at once in minutes or hours. i’m able to process and neutralize stuck emotions and negative beliefs that would normally be very hard to find, releasing the depression and freeze state and massively improving my energy levels and overall wellbeing when i recognize myself back in freeze due to new emotions i have to do a new session, but every layer that is peeled back reveals deeper levels of freedom during the process your brain also makes associations and has epiphanies that add a deep learning and healing along with the desensitization

Sounds very rich… can you perform a session on your own?
