I’m one of those people who is so earnest people think they are being fake.

It’s allowed me to create amazing relationships AND it’s also been the reason I’ve been taken advantage of.

And yet for all the heartbreak, I can’t give it up.  I believe it’s the only path to my secret heart.

irl i find it very uncomfortable to interact with super earnest people sometimes. but it’s more about having a protective layer than being disingenuous. if someone is too nice to me and i let it in i could start crying out of nowhere and then you have to deal with that 😅

Being vulnerable is hard.  Even though I consider myself earnest I tend to steer away from topics that could expose too much of myself.  Probably for the same reason as you 😉
