with the emdr video i use to process trauma and difficult emotions, you watch a colour-changing ball go back and forth (pong vibes) and youâre supposed to say the colours out loud. sometimes i start to disassociate and just name random colours instead itâs interesting to observe because itâs so obvious when it happens and kind of sillyâyouâre naming incorrect coloursâand then you can correct it immediately, unlike life where itâs easier to stay on autopilot sometimes itâs crucial to stay present during emdr and complete the whole process. if you disassociate you risk reinforcing the trauma or getting stuck in a negative disassociated state rather than moving all the way through the emotion if youâre brave enough to stay present and complete the process, you can feel completely neutral or even positive about a past trauma, which is an incredible feeling!! this is just a clip. the full version can be dowloaded from their youtube link https://youtu.be/Ljss_Ut5pxY
