this was quite interesting. gave me a lot to think about.
there's not a TON of AI plugins for Obsidian out there, and i've found most of them are doing the same thing (shoutout caretplugin.ai and github.com/DeabLabs/cannoli for something different), which is basically semantic search and writing/research assistance.
but that's not really what i'm looking for. i want an actual assistant and having access to my notes is more of a functional requirement than an objective of its own. building it in Obsidian is more of a convenience thing, because i don't have to build a whole app, just an interface. (i thought about building it in Discord for exactly this reason)
so far i have a basic prototype and it's surprising how capable it is. excited to give it more functionality (Todoist API, Gmail access, RAG, Discord, Farcaster, scheduled task execution, call my mom back, etc.) and see if it keeps getting more useful or if i end up becoming a babysitter pleading for it to stop offering my calendar link to replyguys 0 reply
